Suspected gunmen early hours of Fri attacked Tse Ujoh community in Ikyurav-Tiev in city Alla governmentspace of Benue State
and killed many people.

While an eyewitness told our correspondent that twelve people were found dead, Police confirmed 9 person killed within the attack.

According to eyewitness account, the attackers stormed the community in a very commando manner, shooting indiscriminately, resulting in the death of eight persons on the spot.

The eyewitness further said that some people were eviscerate and taken to unrevealed hospital, wherever four others later died.

“The attackers stormed Tse Ujoh village in Ikyurav-Tiev within the early hours of Fri. 

As shortly as they invaded the village, they were shooting indiscriminately, whereas a number of the attackers entered into homes and attacked people.

“By the time they left, many people were injured , a minimum of twelve bodies were taken to hospital mogue, the eyewitness said.

Reacting to the attack, Governor prophet Ortom, who decried the constant attacks on Katsina Alla axis, confirmed that 9 people were killed.

The governor delineated as “unacceptable” the newest attack on Tse-Ujoh in Ikyurav-Tiev of Katsina-Ala government space that left 9 persons dead within the early hours of Friday.

The governor, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, disclosed that troops had been deployed to the affected space to bring the case in check.

He assured the people of Katsina-Ala that steps had been taken to forestall any attacks within the space, adding that 3 persons had been in remission in reference to the attack.

The statement further said, “Governor Ortom confident the people of the state that his administration won't enable armed militia to still terrorise communities.

“He inspired anyone with information which will result in the apprehension of the gang to contact the police, Department of State Services or the military,” the statement aforesaid.
The State Command interpreter, DSP Moses Yamu, confirmed that 9 people were killed.
“We got information that some militia suspected to be of Shitile, attacked Tse Ujoh village of Ikyurav-Tiev council ward where 9 people were killed,” Yamu aforesaid.
