10 Persons Died In Katsina LG Convoy

No fewer than ten supporters in the entourage of a freshly sworn in Chairman, Caretaker Transition Committee of Batsari
authorities space, Alhaji Mannir Ruma, area unit feared dead in a motor accident on Batsari-Katsina Road.

The well wishers were said to be jubilating on their way to  escort the newly-appointed chairman back to his office in Batsari after the swearing in ceremony at the govt House, when the incident happened. 

The information Officer of Batsari council, Isah Rimi, who confirmed the incident to Vanguard yesterday, said the vehicle conveying the persons collided with another vehicle conveying women to a naming ceremony in Kano State. 

Rimi said the incident, that claimed the ten lives also left 20 persons hospitalised. 

According to him “the Caretaker Transition Committee Chairman, Alhaji Mannir Ruma’s entourage got involved in a fatal accident, whereas 10 persons lost their lives, and 20 were hospitalised in Batsari General Hospital, Federal Medical Centre and orthopedical Hospital, Batagarawa. 

“The caretaker transition committee chairman of Batsari government area, Alhaji Mannir Ruma, prayed for the deceased and assured of state support to help those hospitalised for fast recovery.”
