I Dismissed Offers To Stay As Eagles Couach – Rohr

Super Eagles head mentor, Gernot Rohr, has uncovered that he dismissed lucrative offers from a few nations after the 2018 World Cup in Russia to remain with the group, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.


Any semblance of Clemens Westerhof, Bora Mulitonovic and Lars Largerback all left unceremoniously after the Eagles' exit at the past World Cups.

Rohr, who broadened his agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation before the World Cup in Russia guided the group through an effective qualifying effort yet went under investigation after the group neglected to advance past the gathering stage at the mundial in the wake of winning only one diversion.

There were calls for Rohr to be sacked, however the NFF chosen to back the German.

"I got great offers from nations who were at the World Cup, however at last I chose I need to keep working here in Nigeria," Rohr expressed amid his association with the media in Lagos on Friday.

"I like the group we have here and the NFF has made the earth extremely helpful for me, so I don't perceive any motivation behind why I should leave now.

"I trust this group will be better in future and it is imperative to proceed with the great work we began."

Rohr will now would like to enable the Super Eagles to meet all requirements for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon after the group passed up a great opportunity the last two versions.

The Super Eagles will confront Seychelles in their AFCON qualifying amusement on September 7 in Victoria.
