EFCC Sealed Houses Belonging to Ex-Ekiti State Gov

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission yesterday in Ado Ekiti sealed some homes belonging to a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.

The houses, located in different places in Ado Ekiti include one at Fajuyi Park, beside the old Mr Biggs; a two-storey building at Okesa and the building housing a radio station, Peoples Voice 104.1 FM located at GRA.

The state Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning had last month sealed a house linked to Fayose at the GRA, Ado Ekiti.

In his reaction, Fayose, in a very statement by his media aide, Lere Olayinka, said: “This is another wild goose chase and therefore the usual media campaign against my person.

It's solely in our country that anti corruption agency will first go about sealing houses before determining the ownership, which can be done by simply by visiting relevant agencies.

I am therefore informing the general public ahead of their usual blackmail and media trial.

“None of the properties in question is owned  by me and the records are there for anyone that's interested to see.

The EFCC is advertised to stop going about searching for ways to malign my person just because of their hatred as a results of my uncompromising stands on national issues.
