breaking news suspects in armed force uniform escape from police custody

There was strain on Thursday in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State following the escape
of three presumed outfitted thieves, wearing armed force uniform, from police cell.

The suspects, whose names were given as Olisa Dominic, Friday Nwali and Nwanosike Isaac, were supposedly captured by a watchfulness aggregate in the zone known as Obosi Vanguard at Little Wood Estate, Obosi, while professedly preparing to strike.

Southern City News assembled that the suspects got away soon after they were given over to the police by the watchfulness gathering.

A source, who argued namelessness, told our journalist that the network was living in fear after the improvement.

"We are living in dread and peril now. We can't see how a few suspects captured by our vigilantes would escape after they were appropriately given over to the police.

"Something isn't right some place. We never again lay down with our eyes completely shut on the grounds that anything can happen whenever. We don't know who to trust once more," the source expressed.

Tending to newsmen, the leader of the gathering, Mr Oluchukwu Anyaoku, said he got the data of the capture while at work and needed to send his appointee, Chimezie Ononwu, who took the suspects to the network town corridor for exchange to Ogidi Police Area Command.

"As the suspects were kept at the corridor, sitting tight for the handover to the Ogidi Police Area Command, the police from Obosi driven by one Ovat, a sergeant, with some young men came and took the suspects to Obosi Police Station and from that point forward, we have not known their whereabouts.

"It is the Obosi police that will tell the world the whereabouts of the suspects. We are a peaceful gathering and would prefer not to have any misconception with the police and that was the reason we gave the suspects over to them.

"It is left for the police at Obosi to tell the general population, people in general and the world the whereabouts of the three suspects in armed force uniform captured with cutlasses; the police need to create the suspects."

Responding, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar, said he had coordinated quick examination concerning the issue.
